( marasmus( Lack of proteins and carbohydrates



marasmus appropriately named from the greek word meaning (dying away) .
marasmus reflects asevere deprivation of food over along time . the peron is starving and suffering from an inadequate energy and protein intake .
marasmus occurs most commonly in childern from 6 to 18 months of age in all the overpopulated and impoverished areas of the world . childeren in impoverished nations simply do not have enough to eat and subsist on diluted cereal drinks that supply scant energy and protein of low quality .


cause of marasmus :
where Carbohydrates that give the energy to body , The absence of carbohydrates leads to that of the child break down the fat under the skin to get the energy necessary for life and because the absence of carbohydrates prolonged in cases of famine,
it cracking in the fat will continue until the child can get the energy necessary for him to continue on that case until the fat occurring among child to his muscles to break down proteins for energy and stay that way until the skeleton in the form of neighborhood and takes the appearance of the old man..


treatment :
Handled the child gradually by giving him intravenous fluids and then in the mouth. Followed by a gradual diet which is to provide the child carbohydrates to get energy from food instead of cracking his body tissue. And provide protein for building and maintenance of tissues and grow normally. Attributable to the child during a few months from the beginning of the provision of food for energy and growth and the provision of care to a normal healthy child
